In 2021, I created a pop-up shop concept for a fictitious Spotify feature called Spotify Play Party. This new feature allows Spotify Premium users to host and join special collaborative playlists and share music to a collective queue: anytime, anywhere. At the Pop-Up Play Party, guests can discover the music styles of their community, share their own favorite songs to the Party Queue, and receive 3 months of Spotify Premium free.

I utilized Spotify’s expanded colors and vectors to their full potential for a fun, electric party that captivates guests and amplifies the musical experience. With the help of SketchUp and Blender, I was able to conceptualize a digital model of the event in 3D space. The physical space employs a variety of materials — transparent acrylic, glass, and led light strips — to enhance the dynamism of the environment.

The pop-up’s postmodern design and casual arrangement creates an atmosphere that is both conversational and entertaining. The funky furnishings parallel the uniqueness of the different music guests can discover at the event.
